The history of NIKAMED is the history of establishment of the Russian orthopedic and medical market. The company NIKAMED began its activity in the middle of 90’s, the era when the free market was just beginning in Russia.
 

1996

Nikamed was founded on the basis of the scientific-production company “DELTA-TERM” which is currently the part of the NIKAMED Group. 
 

1997

The first retail shop of orthopaedic products initiated the development of retail network of orthopaedic shops in Moscow.
 
 

2000

The company expanded, the organizational structure improved. The sales department and the marketing department were founded. A new warehouse was opened.  The new warehouse was opened. Due to considerable growth of the staff, the company moved to the new office.
 
 

2001

The company made an important strategic decision - to switch to multi-brand sales. Working partnership with the manufacturers started. NIKAMED put the compression hosiery (Elastic Therapy, USA) on the market. It was released under NIKAMED’s own brand name VENOTEKS^® THERAPY.  
 

2004

The new line of professional orthoses ORLETT^®  (produced by German REHARD TECHNOLOGIES GmbH) was put on the Russian market of orthopaedic products. The property rights on ORLETT^® trade mark belong to NIKAMED.
 

2006

The new corporate identity was developed to form NIKAMED’s brand image that would reflect the company’s up-to-date niche on the market. The orthopaedic pillows and mattresses were put on the market under the brand name TRELAX^®. The brand name of the first retail chain of orthopaedic shops ORTEKA was developed to compete for the leading positions in the retail segment.
 
 

2007

The company NIKAMED won the prize “Profession is Life” in the nomination “For the achievements in the field of the healthcare industry”.

In the summer of 2007 a new warehouse with the total area of 2.000 square meters was opened.

2008

NIKAMED Group joined The Association of Reparative Medicine Specialists.
 
The company NIKAMED won the prize “Health idea” in the special nomination “Innovative technologies for the effective health security and the improvement of quality of life”.
